Fine luster glaze tile made in Seville in the first half of the sixteenth century. Tiles with the same design but in a different colour scheme can be found in the magnificent "casa de Pilatos" in Seville, now a museum. Tiles for this palace were made by Juan Polido who had to deliver 2000 tiles a week starting in October of 1538.
