This elegant Art Nouveau tile was produced by Villeroy & Boch, Dresden, a factory admired for its exceptionally well-crafted relief tiles made using the dust-pressed technique. The design centres on a bouquet of softly modelled pink blossoms, gathered within a circular frame at the top of the composition. Their warm tones contrast beautifully with the deep green stylised leaves that flank the central motif on both sides. The flowing, tree-like structure that connects the floral elements is typical of the Jugendstil movement, with smooth organic curves and harmonious symmetry. The relief is crisp and precise, allowing the translucent glazes to pool gently in the recessed areas, enhancing depth and subtle colour transitions. The tile remains in very good condition, displaying the quality and refinement characteristic of V&B Dresden’s production.
