A beautiful Art Nouveau relief tile by S.O.F. Meissen, decorated with an elegant water scene featuring koi fish swimming around a stylised water lily with floating leaves. The soft green ground, combined with delicate pink accents and warm ochre tones in the flower, creates a calm and refined composition with great depth. The decoration in relief was made by compressing clay powder under high pressure in a mold. The fish from Otto Eckmann's woodcut (1899) were used in the design of this tile! Good condition tile with light traces of use, such as a few tiny glaze chips.
