Mügeln Art Nouveau Landscape Tile, Germany, c. 1905–1915 An original Art Nouveau tile produced by Ofen-, Porzellan- und Tonwarenfabrik Mügeln, Germany, dating from the early twentieth century. The design depicts a charming rural landscape with a cottage, rolling hills, a solitary tree and distant foliage, framed within a stylized geometric cartouche. The tile is in good antique condition with age-related wear and fine crazing consistent with its age. The dark green background shows a few faint surface marks and light cleaning scratches from decades of handling and maintenance, none of which detract from the overall presentation.
