This elegant Minton China Works tile, produced in Stoke-on-Trent around 1900, features a striking Art Nouveau design of white water lilies floating among large green leaves on a tranquil pond. The composition is enhanced by softly modelled dust-pressed relief and a beautifully graduated glaze palette, creating a subtle sense of depth and atmosphere. The stylised landscape and flowing lines are characteristic of the period's fascination with nature and decorative design. The tile remains in excellent condition with only light age-related crazing to the glaze, consistent with its age. The reverse retains factory production markings and later hanging mounts for display. A fine example of turn-of-the-century British art pottery, highly decorative and well suited for collectors of Minton ceramics, Art Nouveau design, and architectural tiles.
