The image shows a relief depiction of a nude, young child figure, probably a putto, playing a flute. The figure is depicted in profile, looking to the left. The background is glossy white with gold, stylized leafy vines winding up the left and right sides of the figure. The leaves have an Art Nouveau style with graceful, flowing lines. The tile shows light craquelé in the glaze, and has some minor damage visible at the edge right and corner top left. The tile was made in Grohn, Germany by the Norddeutsche Steingutfabrik Grohn. I also have this tile available in blue. The decoration with gold leaf is extremely rare!
