A charming Art Nouveau ceramic tile produced by Düsseldorfer Tonwarenfabrik Aktien-Gesellschaft (DT-AG) in Germany during the early twentieth century. The design features a stylised climbing vine trained over a garden trellis, its heart-shaped leaves rendered in soft shades of olive green and warm ochre against a pale blue sky. The composition captures the simplicity and elegance characteristic of German Jugendstil design, where natural forms are interpreted through clean lines and geometric structure. The tile is executed in dust-pressed relief, with raised outlines separating the coloured glazes and creating a subtle relief effect. The tile remains in very good antique condition with light age-related crazing and minor wear consistent with its age.
